Education in Schools

Empowering the Next Generation of Environmental Changemakers

We believe education is one of the most powerful tools we have to protect our planet.

Through engaging, practical and solutions-focused programmes, we inspire young people to care deeply about the natural world — and to take meaningful action within their schools, homes and communities.

We offer a range of sessions delivered by our experienced team of educators. You can choose from different flexible formats to suit your timetable, age group and goals — from assemblies to full-day immersive events.

Who is this for?

Each programme is age-appropriate, interactive and aligned with learning outcomes:

  • Primary Schools: Fun, interactive sessions designed to engage, inspire and empower pupils to take action.
  • Children’s activity groups: such as Scouts, Guides, after school clubs, family centres, children community events/fairs
  • Secondary schools & Colleges: Deeper exploration of key environmental topics to spark debate, critical thinking and informed discussion.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

Themes & Topics

Our portfolio illustrates some of the topics, many of these can be adapted for different ages. Our sessions promote Education for Sustainable Development, STEAM and Sustainable Development Goals . Curriculum links – global citizenship, geography, English, science and life skills.

If you have any other topic in mind, do let us know as our educators have a wealth of knowledge which is hard to contain in one document. We have the knowledge, and happy to share it!

Flexible Choice of Formats

Indoor Sessions

Inspiring Talks. Practical Learning. Real Action.

Our environmental educators deliver engaging, solutions-based sessions in flexible formats:

  • Assemblies: 10, 20 or 30 minutes
  • Classroom Sessions: Typically, 1 hour
  • Eco Council Workshops: Action-planning sessions to make your school greener

Outdoor Education

Connecting Young People with Nature

We believe that solving the climate and ecological crisis begins with fostering a genuine love and appreciation for the natural world.

Many of our education sessions take place outdoors to allow pupils to:

  • connect with nature
  • strengthen their problem-solving
  • develop their creativity and independence

School Carousel Events

Whole-School Environmental Experience

Our half-day or full-day events allow the entire school to participate in a rotating programme of interactive workshops to engage, inspire and educate.

  • Schools choose 3 rotation workshops from a range of curriculum-linked topics
  • Students rotate through multiple sessions in small groups
  • Activities are hands-on, creative and discussion-led – outdoors /indoors
  • The day concludes with a shared action plan or pledge

Mobile Eco Float

In the spring of 2021, thanks to two grants we purchased a 1974 milk float and retrofitted  into our eco float.

You have the option to book our interactive mobile float, featuring:

  • Informative environmental displays
  • Practical demonstrations
  • Hands-on activities

We come over with the float and have everything we need to lead our session – we just need a spot to park on your school grounds/venue!

What Students & Teachers Say

I wanted to say a huge thank you for bringing the Bright New Future Roadshow to our School and for the fabulous work you all put in to each workshop. You are an amazing group of human beings!

The staff have been saying to me how much they enjoyed it and how the pupils have been feeding back to them about ideas and information they found out from you. One year 3 pupil said it was ‘the best day at school. Ever!’  We will have to work harder now!

A huge thank you for bringing your roadshow to Bolnore Primary School. The Year 2 children had the most inspiring, educational and fun day learning about the looking after the environment. The children have continued to say “can we do this again tomorrow?” which is the biggest compliment!

The day was full of engaging activities. They enjoyed learning about food chains and seeing the many items from the woodland you brought with you. We loved the carousel of activities such as learning about eco houses and gardens. This day was incredibly memorable and we loved it outside!

Carrie’s enthusiasm for all things ecological was really inspiring. At our visit, she engaged children from different age groups – from 9 years old to 14 and taught us about the plague of plastics, environmental pollution and the importance of our oceans.

We were taught about the impact that we, as human beings, have on the planet, but also about the differences that we can make on an individual level. She also described the ways to reduce our impact on the environment, from recycling to buying sustainably to reusing.

Carrie Cort has run two morning workshops for Yr 3 and Yr 4 and one morning for Yr 5 and Yr 6, the workshop themes were ‘Dreaming of a Healthy Planet’, ‘The Future We Want’ and ‘Green Inventors’. The workshops have really made the children reflect on the impact modern life has on the environment and the need to change behaviour to protect their future.

They produced work, including a letter to their M.P., which gave them a chance to voice their concerns.
