Green Business Network

We work with schools, colleges, businesses, households, community groups and councils to inspire sustainability through education and initiatives across Sussex. We have various initiatives across the county, including the Horsham Repair Café, Refill Shop and Pollination Education Stations, to name but a few.

The Green Business network is the network of businesses working with Sussex Green Living. They are wonderful businesses showing interest and concern in the environmental situation and demonstrate their support by providing environmental educations sessions to their employees, sponsoring us, making donations, taking part in corporate volunteering opportunities or fundraising for us.

Joining is easy and involves a choice or combination of:

1. Lunch & Learn session for staff

45 minutes climate action session for staff focusing on climate actions covering: fast fashion, switch and ditch making better shopping choices, waste reduction, enhancing biodiversity through wildlife friendly gardening, and more.

We can adapt our education sessions to businesses’ timetable constraints, offering an opportunity for as many employees as possible to be able to join so this can be a Lunch& Learn, Breakfast Brief, Evening Explore, whatever suits you best!

This can be online, in person or a combination of the two, includes Q&A and creating a green action plan.

2. Sponsor one of our key initiatives

3. Fundraise for Sussex Green Living

What is a Pollination Education Station?
A purpose-built structure crafted from repurposed materials, provides a safe, eco-luxury haven for our essential winged friends. Each station includes an educational plaque, fostering awareness and action. Plus a wooden ‘sponsored by’ sign with your company’s branding.

How Businesses help
Join businesses, councils, schools, colleges, groups and individuals across Sussex:

• Sponsor a local school to host one on their grounds and be involved in the installation

Corporate Volunteering

Do you have colleagues eager to contribute to their community beyond the office walls? Supporting staff volunteering aligns seamlessly with team-building, corporate social responsibility, and community objectives—all while fundraising!

Your staff can actively participate with Sussex Green Living by engaging in public events with our Eco Float, assisting in a school day facilitated by your company’s fundraising efforts, or volunteering at our monthly Sussex Green Hub. Let’s have  a chat and agree what suits your team best.
