Supermarket and retailer recycling
Our Government have put in place new laws which require UK shops to separate business waste for recycling and offer free take-back services for old goods like electronics and batteries etc. Rules vary by shop size, with new laws for recycling and deposit returns rolling out in phases.
Our charity recycling scheme
Since 2012 we have offered a charity recycling scheme and lots of village drop off locations supported by wonderful volunteers. Through this scheme we take back waste resources which the council are unable to recycle, these are sent to companies such as TerraCycle, Recycling for Good Causes and Recycle 4 Charity. As well as ensuring these materials are recycled and made into new goods it raises a little money for charities.

Most importantly we must find ways to prevent food waste because it protects our planet, saves money, and helps feed hungry people. When you throw food away, you also waste the valuable resources used to grow and transport it.
