Please Donate and Support Our Work
At Sussex Green Living, we’re on a mission to inspire and empower the people of Sussex to live greener, more sustainable lives. As a not-for-profit organisation, we’re dedicated to making eco-friendly choices easy and impactful for everyone—from school children and young people to businesses, councils, and entire communities.
What We Do:
- Sussex Green Hub: A vibrant community space where people come together to repair, recycle, and learn. With the Horsham Repair Cafe, Zero Waste Shop, and fantastic local groups like Transition Horsham and Horsham Eco Churches, our hub is a warm, welcoming place where you can always find a friendly face and a cuppa. We’re dreaming of opening more hubs across Sussex—and we need your help to make it happen.
- Horsham Repair Cafe: More than just a place to fix broken items, it’s a haven of community spirit. Our volunteers work their magic to bring beloved possessions back to life, all while sharing a chat and a smile. It’s where caring for our things and each other goes hand in hand with caring for the planet.
- Mentoring and Support: We guide local villages in Sussex on how to set up their own Repair Cafes and recycling points for hard-to-recycle plastics. It’s all about working together to make our planet a greener place.
- Environmental Education: From assemblies and workshops in schools to sustainability training for businesses, we’re committed to educating the next generation of environmental guardians. We help young people and adults alike understand the importance of making greener, more sustainable decisions.
- Iconic Eco Float: Our retrofitted 1974 milk float is more than just a vehicle—it’s a symbol of hope, inspiration, and joy for the community. But it needs your help to keep running!
- Green Business Network: We engage with businesses to inspire action in the workplace and at home. Through climate action sessions and other initiatives, we help businesses stay ahead of the curve, create a positive work environment, and support their local community.
- Pollination Education Stations (PES): These interactive bug havens are popping up all over Sussex, providing vital habitats for pollinators while raising awareness about their plight. Whether on school grounds, business premises, or public land, they’re a great way to support biodiversity.
Why We Need Your Help:
With just one full-time employee, one part-time employee, and around 150 volunteers, we’re doing a lot with a little. But to keep growing and reaching more people, we need more funding. Every donation helps us continue our work and bring our ambitious plans to life, like establishing more community hubs across Sussex and launching a mobile “Library of Things.”
Can you help us keep going? Every penny makes a difference.
Thank you for supporting Sussex Green Living!
