Can you help our cause? Can you knit? Could you knit a climate scarf or a few for us? This scarf is based on a wall hanging a Women’s Institute person and Greenpeace Campaigner developed, it’s stunning and very impactful. Its stripes represent temperature changes of the last century or so – it is based on a graph.
It would help us and creatively spread the message about the urgency of the climate crisis. You could knit them and drop them to our Horsham Repair Cafe which is starting again on 7th November at the Unitarian Church Hall, Worthing Road, Horsham or drop at the Quaker Meeting House, Worthing Road, Horsham enclosed in a second hand sealed bag with a label ‘for Carrie @SussexGreenLiving (in the SGL recycling bins in the right corner of the garden by the cottage). Or contact us here.
We will sell them to support our charitable climate emergency work. We have a great opportunity in mid February to sell them at the half term holidays event at Wakehurst Place, the theme the ‘Climate Coalition – Show The Love’. It would be fantastic to sell kids and adults climate scarves there. Make one for yourself too!
