Ocean Art Gallery
Scroll down to see our photo gallery illustrating community eco ocean art made by people aged 5 to 90 years old. Art which popped up all over Horsham District between March and August 2019 with messages to convey the plight of the planet and solutions to the climate crisis. Enjoy the art, please read the messages and take action for the sakes of our children and future generations. During August select pieces of art were displayed in the council reception in Horsham, Chichester, Biffa in Warnham and Viridor in Ford.
This is some of the feedback we received “It was a great idea and it was very interesting to see the number of people who walked past the salon, stopped and took the time to read the sign and look at the artwork. Speaking to clients in the salon, it’s amazing to see how many people are now switched on to this topic, are conscious to the effects of plastics in the products we use and are actually changing their behaviour because of it”. Lloyd Gardner, Salon Director at Cocos Billingshurst.
More photos from our Share, Care and Repair Fair and the ocean art can be seen here.
We offer free assemblies, lessons and workshops in schools and children’s groups, one of the themes is ‘Plastic Free Seas’. Some of the art seen in our gallery were produced by children as part of these workshops. Learn more here.
