Whether you’re a green-fingered grower, a food enthusiast, or just curious about eco-friendly living, this free event offers something for everyone.
Spread across multiple venues in the town centre, the festival is packed with hands-on activities, inspiring talks, and expert demonstrations to help you make small, impactful changes in your everyday life. From gardening and composting tips to zero-waste cooking, seed swaps, and interactive children’s activities, there’s plenty to explore.  Browse the market for fresh produce and preloved treasures, visit the Repair Café, and enjoy live music as you soak up the community atmosphere.

Come along, learn, share, and be inspired—together, we can grow a healthier, more sustainable future, one plate and one plant at a time!

9.45am – Official Opening
We’ll begin the day with a special welcome from John Milne MP and Nick Nuttall, former Director of Communications for the UN Environment Programme and founding host of the global climate news platform We Don’t Have Time.

Nick is an experienced international communicator, former journalist with The Times, and long-time advocate for climate action and environmental justice. He brings a global perspective to local solutions and will help set the tone for a day of connection, action and positive change.

The festival is spread across four unique venues in central Horsham, each offering different activities related to sustainable living, food, gardening, and more. Locations include the Green Hub, various gardening stations, and the Bishopric Market for live music, food stalls, and local treasures. Map

Yes, there are several parking options available in central Horsham, including a park and ride option, multi-story car parks and on-street parking. We recommend using public transport or walking if possible, as it is the most eco-friendly way to attend!

The event is very close to Horsham Bus Station

Yes, Horsham has great public transport links, including buses and trains. The festival venues are all within walking distance of Horsham Train Station and is being held opposite Horsham Bus Station.

This depends on the venue. The following venues have wheelchair access: Venue 1 The Hub, Venue 2 Music & Market and Venue 4 Gardening & Games. Venue 3 Food Talks & Demos is not fully accessible for wheelchairs as there are several steps off the pavement, into and within the building, however, it may be navigable for pushchairs and buggies. 

For Venue 4 Gardening & Games, wheelchair access is available from the rear entrance, off Bishops Weald Car park, and then through either the south hall door with a removable ramp or the north hall door where there is a fixed ramp. The church access is via the hall.

Yes the Horsham Repair Café is co-hosting the festival and will  be open as usual on the day, offering repairs to household items alongside the full programme of festival activities.

Yes, you can bring your dog to the festival! Just make sure they’re festival-ready—plenty of water, a sturdy lead, and a deep appreciation for live music.

Yes! There will be eco-conscious vendors offering a variety of products, from sustainable home goods to local organic produce. This is a great opportunity to shop green and support local businesses.

Although the talks are 45 minutes long and at a specified time of the day, the speakers will be encouraged to hang around for some time for any follow-up questions. 

The event runs from 10am-4pm so there is plenty of time to weave your way through the different venues, which are very close together. We would recommend focusing on topics that really interest you and where you think you can make a difference. The venues are themed so choose a theme and immerse yourself in it!
