‘CLEAN-UP AND CREATE’ a Bright New Future’
Educational competition for schools and children working from home!
Sussex Green Living in partnership with the South Downs National Park have just launched an educational competition called ‘CLEAN-UP AND CREATE’ a Bright New Future’. It has been designed to provide a platform for raising awareness about the environment, littering and changes we could make to build a bright new future. The challenge is for 5 to 16 year olds to design a poster and or a piece of eco art and associated message, enable them to learn, have fun and get creative around the world they want. There are 16 x £150 prizes to be won!
At this time more than ever people need hope, to dream and visualise the bright and sustainable future we could build. They need to imagine another World, not the one we are currently living in. Some children will choose to focus on littering, others cleaning up the oceans, whilst those worried about climate change a bright new future – they can interpret cleaning up the world in whichever way inspires them. There is no size limit on their art! The timing of this competition will help inspire and entertain children during lockdown and beyond, the deadline is 10th July. The World is at a compulsory halt, people are seeing reduced emissions, amazing changes in the natural world, making lifestyle changes like growing their own food and backyard chickens. Children and adults have time to stop and reflect, to use their imagination, dream and create a vision of the future. Please share this with schools, home schoolers, children and young people.

The competition is open to schools, uniformed groups and pupils working from home based in Hampshire and Sussex with entrants being between 5 and 16 years of age.
A poster – may include waste resources but this is not a requirement. It needs to communicate environmental problems and or solutions, it could be cleaning-up the world in relation to littering, plastic pollution in our oceans, climate change and or a the bright new future you want to see. Your vision of homes of the future, what your street could look like, the changes you would like to see to your town, your World ….. you have a blank piece of paper so off you go! – no size limit.
