Big Green Hamper

Want to WIN this Great Green Hamper?

Our thanks go to John Lewis Horsham for donating a fabulous Great Green Hamper with about £150 of goodies which we’ll award at Christmas in a draw to people who have completed the small green steps survey and a follow-up.  You’ll have to be over 18, as the hamper contains alcohol, or get an adult to complete the survey for you.  The hamper contains a selection of eco-friendly, local and ethically produced  products which are kind to the planet.

In early December we will email and ask you to complete the survey a second time, you will receive an automatic copy by email on completion. We will aim to analyse the changes you have made to reflect how you have reduced your carbon footprint. Then on 18th December the name of someone who has completed the survey twice will be drawn to win our Great Big Green Hamper.

You can take a closer look at the hamper contents by visiting our Sussex Green Hub our once a month event on the last Saturday of each month at the United Reformed Church Hall, 45 Springfield Rd, Horsham RH12 1PT (behind Wilko just off of West Street). We will be there 10am – 4pm, learn more about the Sussex Green Hub here.

The survey is now closed. Thanks to all who took part.

What is in the Great Green Hamper?

  • Bottle of Method – Wild Rhubarb anti-bac
  • Bottle of Method – Peach Blossom anti-bac
  • EcoVibe dish brush
  • EcoVibe dish soap
  • EcoVibe compostable sponge x 2
  • Circular & Co reusable 227ml cup
  • Sea Saver microfilter bag
  • Isle of White Gin 3 x mini Mermaid Gin
  • Crumbs Brewing beer gift kit of 3 x 500 ml bottles
  • Cottage Delight 3 x jars of chutney for cheese
  • Neom sleep bath foam
  • Rachel Allen Designs mini note cards
  • Wanderflower hand cream library 4 x 30ml various scents

Here is a little more information about the companies who made the products (mainly UK companies):

EcoVibe supply cleaning and homecare products  in plastic-free packaging which provide greener alternatives to traditional methods.  They support small UK businesses and partner with Rainforest Trust UK to save the rainforest. The vast majority of their products are Vegan friendly.

Circular & Co  from Perran Porth make recycled products such as coffee cups from waste materials to extend their lives and prevent plastics from being single use.

Crumbs Brewing   makes delicious UK beer from leftover bread which would otherwise be thrown away by producers.

Neom makes beauty products which are vegan and cruelty free, and which don’t contain artificial additives.

The Earthkind Sea Saver helps you reduce the amount of microfibres and plastics entering our oceans. It acts as a micro filter, collecting fibres which can then be disposed of responsibly.

Cottage Delight is a small Staffordshire Company making zingy pickles and chutneys as well as raising money for the Prince’s Trust.

The Isle of Wight Distillery  have worked hard on every aspect of their gin production to work towards net zero, especially focusing on bottle design and packaging. They have a transparent sustainability agenda as they work towards net zero.

Method cleaning products use bottles made of recycled plastic and largely plant based ingredients

So please complete our Small Green Steps survey and take it again in a few months so that you can see your progress.  You’ll have to be over 18 to be entered for the Hamper prize, as it contains alcohol, or you can make your parents fill in the survey instead!
