All About Horsham magazine had to take a break for April and May due to the dreaded covid, we are delighted to say it has sprung back up with a green theme! Following an interview with Ben he has written a lovely article where I share the work we have been busy doing during lockdown, namely the Horsham Climate Cafe. After its launch in December 2019 we had four physical events at the Quaker Meeting House in Horsham, then we quickly adapted it to a virual weekly event using. Attenance steadily rose from 7 the first week to 90 who attended Dr Tony Whitbread, President of Sussex Wildlife Trust on 2nd May. These weekly sessions ran from 27th March until 16th May. Then as of 2nd June we transformed once again! The Horsham Climate Cafe reverted to the first Saturday of every month aiming to provide talks on subjects of far reaching interest, plus every Tuesday 7-8pm the Horsham Future Forum and the Horsham Youth Eco Forum takes place, focusing on building back Horsham better, fairer and greener.
Take a read of this lovely article about our work during covid lockdown and our hopes for the future. Plus a two page spread sharing wise words from Tony Whitbread’s Horsham Climate Cafe talk.
