Green careers stand launched

Our new Green careers stand is going to the ‘Big Bang South East’ event at the South of England Showground, Ardingly on 28th June. The event aims to encourage young people aged 9 – 19 years to take up science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), and brings those subjects to life. The Big Bang normally attracts about 7,500 young people and their teachers. You can learn more about the Big Bang events here.

Climate change and its effect on the poor

Some say “think global but act local” because the idea of acting local is much easier for people to embrace. But something recently happened in my life which made me question these words.

Following a recent visit to Manila, Philippines, for Al Gore’s Climate Reality Leadership Corp training programme and to the poorest community in Manila, this is what I believe: We need to ‘think global and act global,’ because wherever we are in the world, our actions –  good or bad – have a knock on effect which ripples around the globe.
