Treasure from Trash, a colourful and captivating free exhibition of creative upcycling from around the world, is showing at the Linklater, Lewes Railway Land in Lewes, until August 31. It will intrigue anyone who has ever thrown anything away, since every object in the show used to be something else! Open Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays 10 – 3pm and Sundays 2 – 5 pm.
Freddysmile children’s cancer charity
Sussex Green Living are going to a family fun day organised by and raising money for the Lancing based charity Freddysmile, its Sunday 20th July from 10am-4pm at Lancing Beach Green.
There will be lots of stalls, children’s races, a mascot race, face painting, dog show, donkey rides, beer tent and much more. Read more

This Sunday 22nd June sees the annual Sussex Festival of Nature which takes place on the South Downs at Stanmer Park, Brighton. The event allows visitors to explore the varied landscapes of the county, whilst finding out more about sustainable ways to connect with the environment. You can make a difference……Last week we published an urgent message about another disaster in the Philippines… the Philippine Community Fund (PCF), their community centre, health centre, school for 600 children and 3,000 families are being evicted from their homes on this Manila dumpsite. Is it raining bottle tops?
On Saturday 5th April 9.30am – 12 noon there are certainly going to be thousands of plastic bottle tops at the Quaker Meeting House in Horsham, as volunteers gather to do their bit for the environment.
